Porthallow Lodge is well placed to visit Polperro, Looe and Talland Bay cove which is just down the hill.
Talland Bay Hotel opposite perfect for morning coffees and evening drinks.
Enjoyed visiting Charleston where Poldark was filmed. Our week went too quickly. Hope to see you again next year. 17 - 14 June
A lovely cosy cottage away from it all! We had a lovely few days here, such a lovely spot.
The walks to Polperro and particularly Looe were a little testing, but well worth it for the amazing views and wildlife . . . 4 - 8 August
. . . We’ve had a fab few days exploring places around here and it’s always such a treat to just walk down the hill to Talland Bay…coming back up is slightly less of a treat, but I’m sure it’s doing us good! This is our second stay here, and we definitely want to come back next year.

The Lodge is so beautifully decorated, and we were so happy discovering the scones and your little notes. After our week in London this was the perfect place to relax! Thank you so much for everything and we’re hoping to return some day. 17 - 23 August

We really enjoyed our stay – walking the coastal path a highlight . . . trying to go for a run on these hills – more of a challenge! We’ve been very comfortable and felt well looked after. Thanks again and hope to come back again in the future when work brings me down here. 11th-18th May 2017

Dear Karen, Mark and Polly, Many thanks for your ❤ welcome with flowers, scones, clotted cream and jam . . . mmh!!! Your cottage is really cosy and lovely, we had wonderful dreams, slept like on clouds. We had nice trips to Fowey and Looe by feet and to Truro and Falmouth by car. Thank you for a really nice stay in Porthallow Lodge. We really enjoyed the cosy house in the quiet but convenient location. We were lucky enough to enjoy some mid-winter sun for our walk to Polperro, Looe, and Kilminorth Wood. On the very rainy day during our visit, the lodge kept us warm, dry and very comfortable. We look forward to staying here again sometime in the future. 7th – 10 th January 2016

A lovely visit in our first trip to Cornwall with our baby. He felt as much at home as we did. Love the welcome touches . . the herbs which livened up our dinner . . . lovely spot to explore the coastal paths and visit Polperro and Looe. We hope to visit again soon. 15th - 19th November 2015

Arriving late after a ten hour journey the Lodge was just what we hoped for – so cosy and comfortable. The Lodge was well equipped which made our stay most enjoyable. The flowers and herbs were beautiful. . . the bed is so comfortable – a joy to sleep in. We were so lucky with the weather . We enjoyed the walks along the coastal path to Looe and Polperro. Also visited Talland Church, really lovely and peaceful. Many thanks to Mark and Karen and Polly and Ian for making our stay unforgettable and wonderful. We will be back next year.
