The cottages are within only 350 metres of lovely Talland Bay with its unspoilt coves, rock pools and gently shelving beaches of course sand and fine sand castle sand at low tide and safe bathing. Tucked behind the bay are two cafes, one of which does evening barbecues in the summer, and the other rents out kayaks.
The wonderful coastal paths to Looe and Polperro begin from here, and the Eden Project is only a half hour’s drive away.
Ideal for those who want a holiday without a car as Looe railway station (at the end of a fascinating branch line from Liskeard on the main line) is only 3 miles away, and food supplies can be ordered online and delivered by Tesco and Ocado.
Guests return again and again to this cottage of great character. This was originally part of the Porthallow estate owned by the Salusbury Trelawney family during the long period from 1600 to 1919 and is converted from the granary and coach house.
This is a sweet single story cottage a few yards up the lane from Dolphin Cottage ideal for two people. It is entered from a gate leading into the owners, Ian and Polly Mayman's garden.
